“Definition of insanity:” Same writer, over and over again

Albert Einstein is alleged to have said that “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Well folks, evidence suggests that some of our dear Missed Connections writers might well be a tad bit insane.

I call your attention to Exhibit A, below. You may remark upon the repeated, incorrect use of punctuation, and an unusual fondness for square brackets. As far as I can tell, our prolific writer from Halloween is back at it with new muses – some gals with camera phones.

I’m not sure what puzzles me more:

  1. His frequent posts – Lots of people post multiple times, and it’s occasionally easy to spot when they are concurrent and share a similar location or self-description. However, I can spot this writer’s identifiable style without relying on time stamps, etc.
  2. The writer’s apparent narcissism here in so desperately wanting the photos of him with the ladies. If the writing wasn’t so different, I’d think it was one of our other Halloward winners, Corkscrew Guy.
  3. Who takes photos sitting on Vespas with strangers? One time in Prague, a friend briefly went on some dude’s Segway, and we took photos of that – perhaps these ladies were tourists?

It’s all very strange to me, but hey, it’s Craigslist Missed Connections, so I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised. At very least, it’s good to see that this fellow’s geographic range extends all the way from the western reaches of the Annex at Bloor & Bathurst to the eastern end of Little Italy at College & Euclid.
